hi family! i will be participating in the 2009 walk for lupus now coming up this coming sunday, may 31st in west hartford. i just wanted to thank my mom, aunt terry, aunt mary, andy and suzanne for making their generous donations and to everyone for supporting me in my fundraising efforts. i am really looking forward to the walk and raising awareness about this disease that many people (including myself who has been diagnosed!) still know very little about. the fundraising experience has been challenging but interesting, and i have engaged with many people who "know someone who has lupus", so it affects a whole lot of people. i am lucky i caught it early on and can participate in something like this and am grateful for my mobility, health, family, and friends. i am still $50.00 short in my goal for online donations, so if you would like to make a donation to the lupus foundation of america who puts on this walk as well as other events to raise awareness and funds for treatment of lupus, please visit www.firstgiving.com/katslupuswalk
